First In Families of North Carolina Web site Now Accessible to a Wider Range of Visitors
April 5, 2005
PHILADELPHIA (April 5) First In Families of North Carolina published their upgraded Web site at www.fifnc.org.
The goal of First In Families of North Carolina is to support people with developmental disabilities and their families to create the lives they want now and in the future.
First In Families of North Carolina (FIFNC) contracted with MasseyNet.com, Inc. to upgrade their Web site to be as fully accessible, and user friendly, as possible.
In the interest of accessibility, the site is designed to provide clear and consistent Web site navigational aids and graphics that include photographs of real people who have benefited from the services of FIFNC. With the organization's client base in mind, as well as the understanding of how people read online, the site uses simple concise and clear language formatted into small easily read or scanned paragraphs.
See: FIFNC Accessibility Statement for further information.
MasseyNet.com, Inc., who built some of the first accessible Web sites on the World Wide Web, provides Web site design and development services to non-profit organizations throughout the country, specializing in strategic planning and accessible design.
